We are now in an era where for the first time all four channels of information are available. Our view of the physical reality of the Universe no longer depends on a single mode of seeing but rather on the integration of many different views, all of which, taken together, give us a far deeper understanding of the universe than any one view by itself.

A single book cannot begin to do justice to all that multi-wavelength and multi-messenger studies are doing to further our understanding of the universe. Instead, this book will concentrate on a few spectacular examples that demonstrate the tremendous gain in our understanding when we integrate data using all the channels available to us. These examples represent some of the most exciting areas of modern astrophysical research, including such diverse topics as colliding black holes and neutron stars, the discovery of planetary system around stars other than our own, and the determination of the Hubble constant which in effect defines the size, age, and the content of our Universe.

There is no existing book covering this material. It will provide a good overview of the many ways we can study the physics of the Universe and relate some of the most important results. This provides an important source for students and researchers to get a comprehensive, and up-to-day review of the topic.
